Luzhniki Olympic Complex
The Luzhniki Olympic Complex is one of the largest sports and entertainment facilities in Russia. It was opened on July 31, 1956 and until 1992 was named the Central Stadium named after V. I. Lenin. The complex is located in the Khamovniki district, in the Central Administrative District of Moscow, and covers an area of more than 150 hectares.
Today, the Luzhniki Stadium is a large-scale architectural and park ensemble, including more than 80 sports and infrastructure facilities. Among them are Large and Small sports arenas, an Aqua Complex, Northern and Southern Sports Centers, the Druzhba Sports Complex, the Kristall Ice Palace, a Sports town and a Tennis Palace.
The Olympic complex hosts sports competitions, concerts, festivals and other major events. Guests can also take a guided tour of the Luzhniki Arena and learn more about the history of one of Moscow's most famous sports venues.luzhniki+1
